Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining 2020 at the Classic Christini’s Ristorante Italiano on Orlando’s Restaurant Row

Magical Dining is even more enchanting when you visit one of Orlando’s most treasured classics: Christini’s Ristorante Italiano. This 5-star fine dining restaurant has been open since 1984 and is known for its elegant old world charm, impeccable service, and stellar Italian dishes. The Magical Dining menu gives you an opportunity to enjoy a three-course meal for only $35 while still indulging in the full “Christini Experience” which includes live music, complimentary home-made limoncello as an after dinner digestif, and a red rose for every woman.

My meal was phenomenal, portions were very generous, and the service was everything I expected and more – in fact, by the end of the meal I was on a first name basis with our charming head server, Georgi.

Delicious Polpette di Vitello, veal and beef meatballs in their famous pomodoro sauce.

Our appetizers included the Polpette di Vitello, veal and beef meatballs in their famous Pomodoro sauce.  These were large, flavorful, and there was plenty of sauce to dip my perfectly baked and addictive ciabatta bread into. The glorious Fagottini alla Pera, described as “purse shaped pasta” was filled with roasted pear and atop of gorgonzola cream sauce.  My taste buds were completely unprepared for the combination of sweet and salty, and oh so creamy goodness of this playful vegetarian dish! This is now my favorite pasta appetizer ever.

Main courses were equally memorable with the Scaloppine alla Marsala, veal in Marsala wine sauce with mushrooms, being the stand-out dish. The veal was fork tender, and the robust sauce had beautiful color, and the sweet and savory flavors balanced the richness of the veal perfectly.

The Fettuccine alla Christini is a solid classic which they have elevated with their hand made pasta and decadent sauce.  If you choose, you can add Chicken ($6) or Shrimp ($10).

Additionally, you can choose to add a Shrimp Cocktail ($20), or shareable sides such as Wild Mushrooms, Asparagus, or Sauteed Spinach ($9). We chose to add the Cocktail di Gamberi, two jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce.  When they say “jumbo” they mean it!  These were two enormous, fresh, expertly prepared shrimp and the perfect way to add surf to our turf.

For the sweet finale I had to try their Traditional Cannoli and Key Lime Pie. Both were delicious, my favorite was the Cannoli which was big and creamy with a crisp shell and finished beautifully with raspberries, powdered sugar, chocolate chips, a chocolate garnish, and mint leaves. The Key Lime Pie was delightfully tart and sweet without being cloying, and garnished with delicate flower petals, an edible orchid, and fresh thin slices of lime.
