On Saturday, April 27, the Orlando Science Center hosts the 9th annual Science of Wine where attendees can uncork their inner sommelier (and scientist!). The event features a night of wining, dining and learning with presentations on multiple aspects of wine growing and wine tasting in addition to samples of more than 150 fine wines from the world’s most important wine regions and some of the best food from our favorite region, Central Florida! The funds from this event are used to advance educational programs and provide the opportunity for children to explore the wonder and excitement of the Science Center.

$100 Members | $110 Early Bird | $125 General Admission
We recently were invited to a special preview of one of the special cooking demos available at the event – hosted by the one and only Swine and Sons (who recently moved to their new location in Winter Park at the Local Butcher Shop).
In this presentation, Chef Alexia Gawlak taught us all about emulsions through a wonderful chevril bearnaise sauce creation that was used on a dish with flavorful bread, asparagus, and prosciutto ham.
