Primo opened 22 years ago at JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes (connected sister resort to Ritz Carlton Orlando) by proprietor Chef Melissa Kelly, the first female chef to win the prestigious James Beard Foundation Award for “Best Chef” twice. Named after her Italian grandfather Primo Magnani, Primo has been consistently delivering Mediterranean Italian cuisine at the highest caliber ever since.
Chef Melissa Kelly pioneered the farm-to-table movement by growing organic ingredients on resort property at Primo Garden and incorporating them into her dishes to create a true 0km dining experience.
