Orlando’s food story is getting a delicious new chapter. Visit Orlando has announced the launch of Orlando’s Kitchens: Recipes and Stories From Our Neighborhoods, the city’s first-ever destination cookbook celebrating the restaurants, chefs, and flavors that define Central Florida’s diverse culinary scene.

The cookbook features more than 60 recipes and stories from some of Orlando’s top names, including 4 Rivers Smokehouse, Foxtail Coffee Co., The Ravenous Pig, Salt & the Cellar by Akira Back, Reyes Mezcaleria, Otto’s High Dive, Black Magic Pizza, Seito Sushi Baldwin Park, The Chapman Restaurant, 1921 Mount Dora, Superica Tex-Mex, Morimoto Asia, Smoke & Meats, Red Panda Noodle, and June in Orlando, with even more local favorites to be revealed soon.

Authored by award-winning writer Pam Brandon, Orlando’s Kitchens highlights the creativity and heart behind the city’s most iconic dishes. Inside, readers will find recipes like Abuela’s Salsa from Tamale Co., porchetta from Chef Yamuel Bigio at Crocante, and a cherished 1950s cookie recipe from Nikki’s Place, each one capturing a piece of Orlando’s rich food story.
The book is organized by district, with hand-drawn maps from local artist Paige Fischer guiding readers through Orlando’s neighborhoods. The cover features Chef Wendy Lopez of Reyes Mezcaleria and Chef Lordfer Lalicon of Kaya, along with dishes from Chayote Barrio Kitchen and Bull & Bear.

“This project is a true celebration of Orlando’s culinary identity,” said Casandra Matej, president and CEO of Visit Orlando. “From MICHELIN recognition and James Beard Awards to bringing Somebody Feed Phil to Orlando, this cookbook lets us showcase the neighborhoods and chefs that make our city so special.”
Orlando’s Kitchens will be available for sale before the end of the year, with more details to come. Stay tuned for updates on where to grab your copy and bring a taste of Orlando’s restaurant scene home.
