Mills Market Launches “Meals 50” – A Community-Driven Initiative Giving Back Through the Power of Food

Mills Market is proud to announce the launch of Meals 50, a goodwill initiative dedicated to giving back to the Orlando community through food.

Each month, Mills Market will host curbside pop-up events in collaboration with local chefs and restaurants, with a portion of proceeds going toward donating 50 meals to those in need. The meals will be freshly prepared by Mills Market, and delivered by the team in partnership with local charitable organizations.

Inspired by the heart of the Mills 50 neighborhood, Meals 50 kicked off this past week, serving 50+ meals to The Salvation Army Women & Children’s Shelter just a few blocks down the street.

“We wanted to start as close to home as possible,” said co-founder Johnny. “Meals 50 is cooking for the community.  We’re using the food truck to bring Mills Market to those who aren’t able to come to us. It’s our way of saying thank you to the amazing neighborhood that has supported us all these years.”

At its core, Meals 50 is about community nourishment — using food as a way to bring people together, create awareness, and support those in need. Mills Market hopes to involve the entire community — from restaurants and chefs to guests and volunteers — in shaping this movement into something that truly gives back to the neighborhood that inspired it.

“Orlando has been open-minded and supportive of our restaurant concepts over the last 18 years since Jimmy and I moved here,” said Johnny Tung. “The least we can do is give back to the community in the best way we know how — through food.”

The launch of Meals 50 right before Thanksgiving marks the start of what Mills Market hopes will become an ongoing tradition of giving and connection throughout Orlando.
