In 2025, the Year of the Wood Snake, wisdom, strategic thinking, and financial acumen are highlighted, suggesting a year where careful planning leads to prosperity. The wood element adds a layer of creativity, growth, and community focus, making it an ideal time for collective efforts and environmental consciousness.
This year, Lunar New Year falls on January 29th and usually if you go to Mills 50 that day you can see Wah Lum Kung Fu Temple blessing the businesses with firecrackers and lion dancing – it is one of my favorite things to see in Orlando every year!

13th Annual Dragon Parade Lunar New Year 2025 hosted by Asia Trend Magazine plus Lunar New Year Festival Market
Lunar New Year Festival Market will be held in the Edoboy parking lot (728 North Thornton Avenue) at the end of the parade from 11 am to 4 pm. All proceeds benefit the Mills 50 District, Asia Trend, Recognition and Experience of Asian Cultural Heritage (R.E.A.C.H. of Central Florida), and Youth Enrichment and Senior Services (Y.E.S.S.).
