9 Asian Supermarkets to Try in Orlando That Are Not H Mart

Orlando has something big to celebrate. On September 25, H Mart opened its first Florida location, right in Pine Hills at 5201 West Colonial Drive, and at more than 100,000 square feet, it is now the largest H Mart in the world. Inside, you’ll find everything from fresh produce and live seafood to Korean pantry staples, pan-Asian sauces, ready-to-eat counters, and specialty household goods.

This weekend it seems like the entire state of Florida is in Orlando to visit the new H Mart – with lines reported up to 2 hours at certain times of the day.

While H Mart is a major new destination, Orlando’s Asian grocery scene runs much deeper. Smaller neighborhood markets have long been serving the flavors of Korea, China, Vietnam, and beyond.

Here are nine Asian supermarkets in Orlando that are not H Mart worth exploring on your next food adventure.

1. Lotte Plaza Market

Address: 3191 W Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32808
Phone: 407-499-1115

Lotte Market on West Colonial is a haven for anyone craving authentic Korean groceries. This is probably the second closest thing to H Mart if you don’t want to wait in line. The shelves here are lined with gochujang, doenjang, and other pantry essentials, plus fresh seafood and marinated short ribs and specialty cuts that make backyard BBQ nights extra fun. We always linger in the house made kimchi and baanchan section because they carry several varieties, from classic napa to spicy radish, each with its own kick. The seafood counter is bustling too, and we like to grab a bag of frozen dumplings in the frozen aisles to keep on hand for quick meals. There is also a great food court with Korean stalls as well as surprisingly good Vietnamese and Thai inside Lotte! The staff is friendly, though it helps to go earlier in the day before the aisles get crowded.

2. Enson Market

Address: 5132 W Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32808
Phone: 407-557-8208

Head over to Enson Market in Chinatown Plaza, and you’ll find an enormous selection of Chinese groceries with some Southeast Asian surprises mixed in. This is where we stock up on soy sauces, wide rice noodles, dried mushrooms, and all kinds of frozen buns. The produce section is full of bok choy, bitter melon, and herbs you don’t always see elsewhere. Weekends can get hectic, but the energy makes it feel like a true Chinatown shopping trip. We usually grab a roast duck or BBQ pork from the deli counter, and it fills the whole car with that sweet, smoky aroma on the ride home. The bonus is that there are a ton of local Asian restaurants and dessert spots in the Chinatown Plaza to drop by, too—like East Garden for dim sum and Meet Fresh for desserts.

3. iFresh Market

Address: Coytown Shopping Center, 2415 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32803
Phone: 407-228-9899

Closer to the Mills 50 District, iFresh Market was recently renovated a few years ago with a modern vibe that makes shopping here easy even if you’re new to Asian ingredients. They carry a little bit of everything, from Japanese ramen kits to Thai curry pastes, along with fresh seafood displayed on ice and a colorful snack aisle. They have a nice selection of unique Lay’s potato chip flavors found only in Asia—like seaweed or Sichuan spicy flavors—which are always fun to try. The store is bright, clean, and well-organized, which makes it approachable for first-time visitors. Parking is usually stress-free, though we recommend visiting in the late afternoon when it’s less busy.

4. Dong A Supermarket

Address: 816 N Mills Ave, Orlando, FL 32803
Phone: (407) 898-9227

Dong A Market, in the heart of the Mills 50 neighborhood just north of Colonial Drive, holds the honor of being Orlando’s oldest Asian grocery store. Stepping inside feels like stepping into a piece of local food history. They stock Vietnamese herbs, Korean side dishes, and Chinese sauces, all under one roof. It’s not as shiny as some of the newer supermarkets, but that’s part of its charm. We always notice the smell of fresh herbs when we walk past the produce section, and it reminds me of pho shops we’ve visited. The aisles are a bit tighter, so we try to shop on weekdays when it’s quieter, and cash is always a good idea to have on hand.

5. Phuoc Loc Tho Market

Address: 2100 E Colonial Dr Unit D, Orlando, FL 32803
Phone: 407-898-6858

Phuoc Loc Tho Market is a favorite among Orlando’s Vietnamese community, and it’s where we go when I want to make a comforting bowl of pho at home. They carry fresh rice noodles, bundles of Thai basil, sawtooth herb, and all the spices you need for broth. The atmosphere is lively and filled with chatter, which makes browsing here feel like joining in on a community tradition. One time I stumbled upon fresh pandan leaves and ended up trying a dessert recipe I never thought I’d attempt. Bamita, the hidden banh mi shop; Uncle Dieu’s Vietnamese food truck; and Happy Lemon tea shop can also be found here.

6. Mei’s Supermarket

Address: 10681 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32817
Phone: (689) 208-1888

Mei’s on East Colonial has long been a neighborhood favorite for Chinese groceries. We come here for pantry staples like Shaoxing wine, black vinegar, and dried mushrooms, along with a steady supply of fresh bok choy and napa cabbage. The shelves are also lined with snacks and candies that feel like hidden gems, making it easy to leave with more than you planned.

7. Eastside Asian Market

Address: 12950 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32826
Phone: 407-615-8881

Eastside Asian Market is especially popular with the UCF crowd, and we understand why. We head here when we want a good variety of instant noodles, from Korean spicy ramyeon to Japanese miso ramen, along with fresh herbs like Thai basil and lemongrass. Their selection of frozen dumplings and seafood makes it a reliable stop for quick weeknight meals.

8. New Golden Sparkling Supermarket

Address: 5600 W Colonial Dr Ste 306 Orlando, FL 32808
Phone: (407) 730-3936

New Golden Sparkling on West Colonial offers a mix of groceries and household items that make it feel like more than just a supermarket. We often pick up Chinese teas, dried seafood, and a range of sauces that are tough to find elsewhere. It is also one of the few places where you can stock up on both cooking essentials and kitchen tools in one trip.

9. Woo Sung Oriental Food Mart

Address: 5079 Edgewater Dr, Orlando, FL 32810
Phone: 407-295-4077

Woosung on Edgewater Drive is a smaller market but packed with Korean favorites. We stop in for marinated short ribs ready for the grill, several varieties of kimchi, and tubs of gochujang and doenjang for cooking at home. The frozen dumplings and seafood are another highlight, making this a spot we return to when we are craving a taste of Korea.

H Mart’s arrival is a milestone for Orlando, but it is just the beginning of what our city has to offer. Exploring smaller markets like Lotte, Enson, iFresh, Dong A, and Phuoc Loc Tho is a way to taste the diversity and history of Orlando’s Asian community while finding unique items you may never see in a big-box store.

So next time you plan a trip to H Mart, consider making it a full food adventure. Stop by one of these neighborhood favorites, then cook up a dish that blends your market finds with your favorite Orlando memories. And if you have a hidden gem of your own, share it with us in the comments.
