Inside Look: Food and Wine Weekends at La Luce in Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

The acclaimed Food & Wine Weekends experience is back and happening every weekend at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando from October 16 – November 22, 2020 as a complement to Epcot Food & Wine Festival – it’s a celebration of fine wine & culinary arts designed for those who truly savor the artistry of fine culinary preparations.

We were recently invited to La Luce at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek to enjoy their 10th Annual Food & Wine Weekends special tasting menu and our experience from the food, service, to the ambiance was superb.

Food & Wine Weekends features innovative dishes from their renowned restaurants, unique food and wine pairings, Bar Du Chocolat and champagne tasting, and complimentary local craft beer and wine tastings. Each hotel has its own special offerings, so make sure to check out both.

Transportation is also provided by the sister hotels to Epcot, Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Disney Springs.

TASTE OF LA LUCE

Fridays & Saturdays, 6pm – 10pm

La Luce at Hilton Bonnet Creek is such a hidden gem – currently rated the #1 Italian restaurant in Orlando on Trip Advisor  and is the #2 overall restaurant in all of Orlando.

From the kitchen of La Luce, guests for the Food and Wine Weekends can enjoy an exclusive four-course menu for $55, plus tax and gratuity.  Suggested wine pairing is available for $30.  Reservation recommended.

We began with an outstanding bread service, made with house baked bread. With such a fantastic bread service, I had a hint that the four-course meal to follow at La Luce was going to be phenomenal.

Zuppa
– Roasted Pepper & Tomato, Stracciatella – rich and decadent with tomato tart flavors

Bruschetta – Heirloom Tomato, Mozzarella di Bufala, Pesto – refreshing

J. de Villebois Pouilly-Fumé – a part of the fabulous wine selection

Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe – Reggiano, Pecorino Romano – lovely spaghetti pasta with cheesy reggiano and pecorino and a touch of fresh ground pepper.

Farfalle ai Funghi – Wild Mushroom, Asparagus, Truffle Cheese – loved the flavors of fall in this dish, and all the mushroom flavors.

Risotto – Seared Filet Mignon, Cipollinis, English Peas, Thyme, Reggiano, Red Wine Butter

Seared Salmon Filet – Buttermilk Potato Purée, Tomato & Chive Butter Sauce

Talley Chardonnay & Big Basin Pinot Noir
