This Thanksgiving, Tapa Toro and Taverna Opa are inviting you to forget the turkey and try out these main courses instead!
On Thursday, November 22, Taverna Opa will trade in turkey for lamb and late night dancing. The restaurant will be serving a Greek-style prix fixe feast from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. Guests will have the option to indulge in the prix fixe menu, which at $25 per person includes an appetizer, entree, and dessert, or order from the restaurant’s regular menu. This year’s special menu includes:
- Appetizer: Horiatiki Salad, Spanakopita, or Keftedes
- Entree: Chicken, Beef, or Lamb
- Dessert: Loukoumades (Greek donuts with spiced-honey syrup!)
Celebrating the lifestyle and gastronomy of Greece, guests will revel in evening performances including Zorba line dancing, napkin showers, and belly dancing, while an in-house DJ spins Greek classics and today’s hits.
If lamb isn’t your thing, Tapa Toro will spice things up with a $27, prix fixe three-course dinner featuring white bean soup made with pork belly, sausage, chorizo, scallion oil and smoked paprika as the first course; carved porchetta served with chorizo stuffing and maple-glazed Brussels sprouts as the second course; and to top things off, a cranberry-orange tart made with sweet butter crust, cranberries and chantilly cream. Guests will be transported to the electrifying streets of Spain, as they experience captivating flamenco performers trained in the Barcelona-style dance, snapping castanets and whipping their ruffled dresses to the beat. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Every year on Thanksgiving Day, Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant offers its table-service Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner all day long. The menu for Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018, will feature Butter and Herb Roasted Turkey with gravy, duck fat potato roasties, bacon-roasted Brussels sprouts, apple, sage & sweet onion stuffing, and cranberry and plum chutney. $28; $14 for children. The regular dinner menu also will be available. Raglan Road’s live Irish music and dance entertainment will begin at 4:30 p.m. and continue through the evening. Book ahead at 407/938-0300.
Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse will be open from 1-9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. For $49 per guest, customers can indulge in a three-course meal from Del Frisco’s special Thanksgiving menu. Ravello is offering a Thanksgiving Day buffet for Thursday, November 22, 2018 with reservations available from 2:00 to 8:00 pm. The Thanksgiving buffet includes highlights such as an antipasti and charcuterie display, oysters, king crab legs, sushi, shrimp ravioli, chicken al mattone, baked ham, roasted leg of lamb, Boursin-whipped potatoes, traditional green bean casserole, a selection of salads and a roasted butternut squash soup. Of course, there will be delicious turkey with all of the fixings, including cranberry-cherry and ginger sauce, Chef Marco Koch’s Ritz cracker stuffing, giblet-sage gravy, charred sweet potato puree, roasted vegetables medley with brussels sprouts, and more. Make sure to leave room for dessert, as the pastry team has created a menu worth indulging in, including traditional pumpkin pie, cinnamon pumpkin tiramisu, mini pecan pies, and more. Thanksgiving at Capa
The Resort’s rooftop restaurant Capa will be offering a Thanksgiving special in addition to an a la carte dinner menu available from 4:30 to 9:00 pm. The special includes roasted turkey confit, served with a side of potato puree, stuffing, winter vegetables, and cranberry and port gravy sauce. To end the meal on a sweet note, Capa’s dessert special is a black bottom pumpkin cheesecake with caramelised pecans. This entrée and dessert is available for USD 58 per adult and USD 29 per child.

For those who wish to celebrate Thanksgiving, but perhaps not necessarily with turkey, there are several additional options available at Four Seasons Resort Orlando. Guests can celebrate with Goofy & His Pals at the Character Breakfast in Ravello offered on Thursday, November 22 from 7:30 to 11:00 am. PB&G will also offer its regular menu from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and Plancha at the Tranquilo Golf Course will offer its regular menu from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
