Adult Summer Reading Program 2021
Learn, grow, and connect this summer with the library! Our Adult Summer Reading Program is completely virtual this year! Get connected with our virtual offerings including virtual events, online classes, blog posts, and YouTube videos. Explore our online databases to learn a new language, enhance career skills, discover new books, and more!
OCLS cardholders, 18 and older, can participate in our Adult Summer Reading Program online by registering through the website or mobile application, Beanstack. Use Beanstack to track books read, write book reviews, and participate in virtual challenges to earn digital badges with a chance to win prizes*.
To sign up for an OCLS card, please visit www.ocls.info/using-library/get-or-replace-your-card or visit any of our Orange County Library locations to register for a library card in person.
*An Orange County Library regular, property owner or fee card in good standing is required to be eligible to win prizes. Reciprocal borrowers, OCLS staff and their families, including board members, are ineligible.
Adult Summer Reading Program Prize Drawing Details:
For every badge a participant earns in Beanstack, a digital ticket will be awarded. Each ticket can be redeemed towards entry into a prize drawing, chosen by the participant, in the “Drawings” section of the Beanstack challenge. The more tickets earned, the more chances there are to win a prize! Each participant may only win one prize. The Adult Summer Reading program and prize drawings will close on Sunday, August 1st. Winners of each drawing will be notified by August 9, 2021.

Summer Reading Program
Get ready to go wild during the Orange County Library System’s annual Summer Reading Program. Join us for Tales & Tails – an exploration of amazing Florida wildlife and fantastical folktales. We’re bringing you all our programs, classes and events completely online. Everyone can enjoy all the library has to offer from the comfort of home!
Here’s what to do:
- Find great books to read on our Summer Reading Booklists.
- Read at least 20 minutes every day.
- Sign up for Beanstack and log your minutes online, or use the paper reading tracker.
- Pick up a take-home activity kit at your library branch or complete fun challenges in Beanstack.
- Register for upcoming programs and events.
