Interview with The Ravenous Pig at Taste of the Nation Orlando 2011

On Saturday August 6th 2011, I had the opportunity to interview Chef James Petrakis and Sous Chef Rhys Gawlak of The Ravenous Pig gastropub at the Orlando Taste of the Nation event at the Marriott Hotel on World Center Drive. This charity is a huge event benefitting Second Harvest Food Bank and The Coalition for the Homeless with all the food and amenities donated to make the most of the fundraising for the needy. I would most definitely recommend you to go to this event next year as it is truly a foodie paradise: over 35 restaurants and vendors from all over Central Florida working together to make the world a better place, doing their part to make sure no child goes hungry.

On this day, Chef James Petrakis and Sous Chef Rhys Gawlak showcased their charcuterie featuring sliced salumi cones, bratwurst in pretzel bread, rabbit and mushroom terrine, chicken liver mousse and more. The above is the video from the event, check it out!
